ANTHROPOMORPHIC STATUETTE Culture Baoulé, Ivory Coast First half of the 20th century Drink H. : 45. 5; L. : 7; Thickness: 7 cm (old accident) Male statuette standing with arms along the body and hands with particularly elongated fingers placed on either side of the abdomen. Its individualized legs rest on feet with incised fingers, themselves arranged on a square base. It is presented sexed, the buttocks rounded and individualized from each other. Its back is marked with scarifications in curved lines, which can be found on the neck while the belly and the bust are dressed with geometric scarifications entirely striated horizontally. His oval face is marked with a comma beard, coffee bean eyes, crescent moon eyebrows and scarifications on the temples, forehead and between the eyes.
