Antique 17thC English Charles II Carved Oak Paneled Coffer / Blanket Chest / Trunk. Ca. late 16thC to mid 17thC. Well carved dark oak English coffer, having framed panel construction on the top, back and front. The hinges appear to be original. This piece features finely carved diamond, floral and foliate motifs. Back left foot is an antique replacement. Some age cracks and other age-appropriate wear. Overall, this is in very good condition, with original fine dark patina throughout.
