Description: Without a doubt this is a one-of-a-kind antique caduceus brooch made in solid yellow gold w/ a silver top that is entirely entrusted with old mine & rose cut diamonds. The diamonds are white & mostly eye clean, with the intertwining snakes having natural red ruby eyes. Obviously made long before GIA grading or gold purity standards came along, it was tediously handcrafted by a true artisan. An incredibly special heirloom most certainly should be cherished!

Weight or Size of Gemstones: Four .8mm round cut rubies & ninety 1-2.4mm old mine & rose cut diamonds totaling approx. 3.50-3.75ctw in all.

Condition Report: Seen with 10x magnification several stones have a minute surface reaching inclusion & a few of the smaller rose / rough cut stones have a few of their natural surface characteristics. No missing stones or repairs noted. Gold shows minor wear & the silver has some toning. Pin bar, hinge & catch work properly. I say ready to wear.
