Antique Adirondack Pack basket

Antique Adirondack Pack basket backpack for hiking, hunting, fishing. This vintage Adirondack Pack basket (also known as a New England Splint Pack Basket) was a primitive backpack used for hiking, hunting, fishing, or gathering. The thick, solid wicker is in great, unbroken condition without cracks or wear. The upper back handle is broken and is the only damage on the piece. The canvas straps and buckles are all intact and in place, also in good condition. The basket is the uniquely larger version (perhaps meant for the leader of the crew doing the gathering or hunting), at 20” tall and 15” wide (with a 12” depth).
