Antique Anatolian Prayer Rug, Hand-Knotted Wool with Mihrab Design
Antique hand-knotted Anatolian prayer rug featuring a traditional mihrab (prayer niche) design rendered in soft, muted tones of ivory, cream, rust, pale blue, and warm brown. The central field displays a stylized floral Tree of Life composition with branching blossoms and geometric floral motifs rising within the prayer arch
The rug is framed by multiple decorative borders filled with floral rosettes, palmettes, and geometric ornamentation, creating a balanced and elegant composition. Its subdued palette and finely drawn motifs reflect the aesthetic associated with village-woven Anatolian and Turkish prayer rugs
Hand-knotted wool construction with hand-finished fringe ends. The rug's age-softened colors and visible wear contribute to its authentic antique character and decorative appeal
