Anderson of Bristol, Galloper, "Nina," c.1910, two seater, carved and painted with scroll forms and tassels, with glass eyes. Anderson of Bristol, England began as carvers of figureheads for sailing ships in the early 19thc. When the market for ship's figureheads was exhausted they began to carve carousel figures. The business was closed in 1936. 42 in. h. x 64 in. l. x 12 in.d. Condition: Probably repainted at times during usage, some repairs to legs, shrinkage cracks, losses.
