Antique Armor: German Cuirass

German cuirass, ca. mid-19th century. Both breastplate and back plate. Probably from Prussia or Bavaria. Likely Franco-Prussian War. Steel construction with brass fixtures, leather and steel mail straps, and cloth liner. 18 1/2" tall, about 7" deep, about 14" wide. Some oxidation, pitting on cuirass. One large bullet dent in center of breastplate. Cloth liner is disconnected at places.
