Antique Bisque Couple, Boy & Girl Figurine Heubach 1880s Germany

Antique bisque porcelain figurine, small flower holder is modeled behind the couple. A romantic rural loving couple motif which can be signified with flowers or dry plants placed in the container behind the couple. There is a number'14' impressed and a small unidentified hand-mark at the base, c.1880s-1890s, attributed to Heubach, Thuringia.

The figurine is c.10.1/2" [26cm] tall, c.4.3/4" x 4" [c.11cm x 9cm]; bisque porcelain; very good condition.

In 1880s-1890s, Thuringian porcelain manufacture, Gebruder Heubach, became known for the finely modeled and painted children figurines. In the 1910s, the company became a world leading manufacture of fine porcelain doll heads.
