Antique Bowie Knife With Ivory Grip

Offered here for your consideration is a great old antique Bowie knife with ivory grip. This is the real deal! Probably made in the mid 1880s, this Bowie knife was hand forged and the grip has engraved designs in the ivory handle. The sheath that comes with it was made for this knife in more modern times, with fringe, a loop for a belt and a tab to ensure the knife is secure within the sheath. MAKER: Unknown although there are some marks at the top of the blade (see photos).
APPROX AGE: Antique, circa 1800s.
SIZE: Sheath is approx 16 3/4 inches long. Knife black is 12 inches long x 2 inches wide.
CONDITION: Good for its age, normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Note - there is a small crack in the grip. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
