Antique Bracelet - Wood - Nineteenth century
Extraordinary and peculiar wooden bracelet from the 19th century, used to play the sport named “Gioco del bracciale”. In good condition, only one tooth is missing, some remnants of the leather covering the bracelet are still visible. Original vintage iron finishes and nails. History: The bracelet ball game derived from real tennis and established itself in Italy from the 16th century and for more than four centuries has been the most important among ball games in Italy, especially in north-central Italy, until the 19th century. A rare and hard to find item, also present in the collection of the Palazzo Taglieschi museum in Anghiari (near Arezzo, Italy) . Shipped with insurance and packed with care.
