Antique "Carved Bone" Woman With Alabaster Base
Art Nouveau/Art Deco transitional piece, depicting a woman in carved bone, partially covered with an amber toga, and an alabaster base that features four gilt bronze balls at each corner. The woman has a gilt bronze band on her arm that is decked with seed pearls around it.
The piece is not signed by an artist, but similar pieces were made in mostly France and Germany around the same time.
In good condition overall, with one seed pearl missing on the underside of the band, and some aging on the bone, amber, and bronze.
