DESCRIPTION: Antique fan crafted from black lacquered carved wood slats featuring two scenes of courtiers and attendants in gardens: one scene on the slats painted in gilt and red shades, one polychrome scene on the paper sporting figures wearing applied textile clothing and finished with applied faces. Signed in Han characters on exposed slat at one end.
