Antique French Rouge Marble & Bronze Mantel Clock
Antique French mantel clock crafted in richly figured rouge marble with gilt bronze mounts and architectural detailing. The case features a circular clock above a central beveled glass panel, flanked by classical columns and applied gilt bronze ornament, with a figural relief frieze beneath the dial and scrolling foliate mount to the base. The porcelain chapter ring displays stylized Arabic numerals surrounding an exposed brass center and visible escapement, with dual winding apertures. No apparent maker's mark.
Dimensions: 19 X 15 X 5.5 in.
Condition: Good overall antique condition with typical age-related surface wear, patina, scattered scratches, and natural variations to the marble. Some oxidation and wear to the metal mounts. Clock mechanism has not been tested; working condition is unknown and not guaranteed. Note: This condition statement is provided as a courtesy and reflects an opinion, not a statement of fact. Bidders are encouraged to inspect items in person or through an agent to assess condition. Estate fresh to the market.
