A colored copper map etching on paper with borders. Titled, "Icon Civitatis Campensis, Cuius Situs, Isulam Fluvium, Eleganti Venustate, Decorat," produced circa 1580 as part of "Civitates Orbis Terrarum" ("Cities of the World"), by Georg Braun (1541-1622), cartographer, with Frans Hogenberg (1535-1590), artist. A panoramic village landscape view of Kampen in the Dutch province of Overijissel, the river Ijssel, with boats, figures, horses, oxen, architectural elements, and other forms. Presented under glass in a gilded antique frame. Provenance; a private collection.

Work Size: 13 x 19.25 in.

Dimensions: 16.5 X 22.65 X .5 in.

Condition: Fair condition having mild to moderate age related surface wear,toning, with creasing to center fold and mild to moderate wear to edges and corners. Frame with mild to moderate storage wear to edges and corners. Estate fresh to the market.
