A 19th-century French Regency style Victorian carved wood hanging pier mirror with lemon gilding. Rectangular in form, it boasts a two-part center glass mirror with a classic stepped bottom and top A foliate leaf designs along the top and adorn each side, while griffins and harps embellish the bottom, accompanied by carved female faces and floral vases at each corner. Provenance: This item originated from a distinguished auction event hosted by Sotheby's in October 1995, designated as LOT 3663 at the Neues Schloss (New Castle), Baden-Baden, Germany. It was a part of the royal collection belonging to Margrave Max von Baden (1933-2022), a prominent figure in European aristocracy and the first cousin of Prince Charles III. This auction showcased a selection of valuable items from his esteemed collection.

Dimensions: 62 X 34.25 X 4.25 in.

Condition: Good to fair overall antique condition, this piece exhibits average age-related surface wear and patina. There is a loss to the edge along the top and some slight chipping on the bottom trimming. Age wood cracks are visible from the sides. Please bid accordingly.
