Cataloger Note: Antique American Gothic Revival desk or mantel clock featuring an ornate cast-iron architectural case with elaborate openwork tracery, five prominent rosette roundels along the upper frieze, and widely flared pedestal legs. The decorative iron frame houses a mechanical clock movement by Chelsea Clock Company of Boston, Massachusetts. The design combines Gothic architectural ornament with early 20th-century American decorative metalwork.
