Hand embroidered low dense silky wool pile with silk on wool foundation. Very fine hand-knotted embroidered cover textile. Field with central complex multicolor medallion with extensions and floral designs on ruby red color background; complex multicolor corner guards; multiple borders with floral palmettes serpentine motifs on multicolor background; fringe all around. Indo-Persian, ca. 1920's
