Antique Hellenistic Style Carved Angel Skin Coral & Gold Brooch

Antique fine and impressive Italian brooch (19th century) made of natural Coral in an Angel Skin shade carved in a Hellenistic theme, apparently in the figure of Artemis (Goddess of the Hunt) with flora and two children to the sides of her head. The brooch bears a drop-shaped tassel with a carved eagle on its lower part. Its reverse is made of 14K Yellow Gold (acid tested by the auction house).
