Antique High Condition Winchester Model 1894 Takedown Deluxe .30 WCF Lever Action Rifle
Manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms Co. in 1895, this Winchester Model 1894 Deluxe Takedown rifle is accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum Quick Check confirming the factory configuration and shipment from the warehouse in January 1897. Features a 26" blued Winchester Steel round barrel fitted with a flip-up leaf rear sight, blade front sight, and a tang-mounted folding peep sight. The barrel bears the correct two-line Winchester address and "30 W.C.F." caliber marking. The blued takedown receiver is fitted with a plain trigger and full-length blued tubular magazine. The lever, hammer, and magazine lever retain their case-hardened finish. Deluxe features include a select checkered walnut pistol grip stock with a Winchester hard rubber grip cap and smooth case-hardened shotgun buttplate, along with a matching checkered walnut forearm with blued steel nose cap. LOP: 12-3/4". CALIBER/GA: 30 WCF. S/N: 17646. FFL: Antique.
Condition
Professionally refinished, retaining approximately 98% of the restored finish with only light handling marks throughout. All barrel and receiver markings remain sharp and fully legible. The case-hardened components retain vibrant colors. The deluxe walnut stock and forearm exhibit an excellent finish, showing only a light scuff on the left side of the buttstock and a few faint handling marks. Bore shows light frosting with strong, well-defined rifling. Mechanics function properly. Overall, an excellent, high-condition example.
