Antique Japanese Ornately Decorated Kodachi W/ Rayskin Handle

DESCRIPTION: Antique kodachi ("short sword") featuring a ray skin handle mounted with gilt accented iron reliefs depicting dragons among clouds. Includes scabbard marked with the Tokugawa crest surrounded by foliage and featuring a slot for storing an accompanying knife sporting gilt and silvered insect reliefs on handle. Blades are both signed in kanji: sword bears "Izumi" name, knife bears "Tashiro" name.
