Details: Antique Land Indenture 17TH CENTURY VELLUM CONTRACT 1670 Wax Seals Edmund Gray Alice Harris Wesborough Burk County John Cookes J Hornwood

This antique land indenture is dated 1670 and features wax seals. The contract is signed Edmund Gray, Henry Gray, Fra Harris, Alice Harris, and William Harris. One signature is indecipherable. The contract also mentions "Thomas Egleton of Wesborough in the County of Burk." The back of the contract bears several signatures, apparently reading John Cookes, Sarah Allison, and J. Hornwood.

The piece measures approximately 26.25" x 10".

This indenture is part of a group of 5 contracts from the same estate, all of which are available for sale during this auction. It is unclear how, or if, these indentures are all connected, though there is some evidence to suggest that they track ownership of a particular piece of land in Burk County.
Condition / Notes: This contract appears to be entirely intact with no tears. There are some significant creases and the writing has faded in several places. Otherwise the text is legible and clear.

The stated shipping cost in this listing will apply only to addresses within the continental 48 states. Within those parameters, the shipping cost for this lot will be: $12.00
