First ax is an early blacksmith wrought iron pole ax, from the 18th century with riveted period repair. Overall length of ax head is 7", and has original handle. Next is a forge-hammered pole ax with overall length of 37" and an ax head with a 4.75" cutting edge, ax head is 8.75" long. Third is a pre-civil war dropped toe, extra heavy pole felling ax.
