Antique Putti Cherub Bisque Porcelain Table Lamp
DESCRIPTION: Antique table lamp, with gilt metal frame, beaded shade and a German Rudolstadt-Volkstedt bisque porcelain cherub angel putti figurine. Further embellished with porcelain floral embellishments. The putto figurine is marked on the underside with Volkstedt-Rudolstadt hallmarks, from Thuringia, Germany (used between 1895 and 1930). Founded in 1760 by George Macheleid during the reign of Prince Jean-Frederic de Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. Volkstedt-Rudolstadt porcelain has established a reputation for its white (bisque) or painted and carefully modeled porcelain figurines.
