The body of baluster shape with ribbed spiral lobbing. Top with gadoom border and scroll finial. Scrolls decoration circling the base. Date/Age:- Matching full English sterling silver hallmarks and makers mark on both the main body of the sugar caster sifter and on the detachable top. Hallmarked Birmingham 1889. Makers mark "S.W.S" for Samuel Walton Smith a listed English silversmith found in all major reference books. Approx. Measurements:- Height 10½ inches. Width 4inches.
