Antique Vietnamese Style Cham Stone Stele Ganesha
An antique Vietnamese style Cham stele depicting a seated Ganesha. The Ganesha is in the Vietnamese Cham style. The front of the Stele also includes sanskrit text. The rear of the Stele silhouettes two Axes held in purnaghata, the urn of plenty, supporting the Dharmacakra or wheel of law. A symbol of one of the Buddha's key teachings, the Four Truths of the Noble Ones.
The stele without base measures 41cm tall including its pointed socket that allows it to be seated on a base. Loose mounted to a wood base (later).
