*Item: Antique Opaline Glass chest. * Dating: Restoration Period. 1815-1825. * Origin: France. * Material: Soap-like opal crystal. (Opaline Glass) + Gilded Bronze. *Condition: Battered. * Height: 12 cm / 4. 72 inch. *Length: 14 cm / 5. 51 inch. *Width: 7. 8 cm / 3. 07 inch. * Weight: 1075. 8 Grams. *Important: A very special item. Made in France, around 1815-1825, in the French Restoration period. Soap-like opal crystal (opaline glass) in diamond form. Encased in a fire-gilded bronze frame, with 2 lion heads on the sides. The lock-work is decorated with cornucopias (horns of abundance) , and the rest of the frame is decorated with flowers, branches, and leaves. Standing on "cow legs".
