Legs do appear to have been cut-down, numerous inactive woodworm holes mainly on lower panels, tops of base side panels show the boundary where wood has and hasn't been stained, several splits to back panel, this chair appears to be composed of many individual pieces of furniture with some appearing older than others, all seat boards appear much later than the backing
