Elegant chest of drawers with three drawers in solid walnut and inlays in walnut burl Northern Italy Second half of 1800 In clear Louis XIV style and clearly of Venetian origin, the piece of furniture in question has been expertly veneered and finely inlaid. Characterized by a loose front, the three drawers are punctuated by moldings and inlays in Walnut Burl and knobs in cast bronze. The upper floor is bordered by an elegantly carved Greek fret, as are the curled feet. Probably made on commission, a deduction that can be deduced from the central inlays of the drawers, which represent a Two-Headed Eagle, a symbol used in the last quarter of the 1800s to represent the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The state of conservation is excellent TECHNICAL DATA : Height cm. 85 Length cm. 120 Width or Depth cm. 50
