Antique pre 1900 Afghan Ersari carpet - 345 cm - 245 cm

Antique handmade rugs occasionally go through the natural age process where although colours become faded the newly dyed colours give the whole new character to the rug. This antique handmade wool room size Afghan Ersari carpet can be described as one of these amazing pieces. Measuring 345 x 245cm (11’5”x8’2”) and made circa 1890, it has light subdued sunflower colours in typical Octagonal shaped motifs and geometrical borders. It was professionally cleaned and washed, both ends trimmed and secured and although has some areas of localised wear commensurate with the usage and age, its rarity in both colours and design brings about a unique look to any interior.
