Note:
The present works are almost Arcadian in their depictions of rural idyll, peopled by figures in flowing, somewhat Classical, dress. This romantic ideal is reinforced by the harmony between the figures and the natural world around them, with the tranquil rivers, verdant land, placid livestock, adults fishing and children playing.
