Antonio Acquaroni (Italian, 19th century). Book of 100 etchings of views of Rome. Text page: "Album. The immense number of engraved views existing of Rome are most of them copied from each other, consequently very unlike the monuments they are intended to represent. The present work engraved this size by Anthony Aquaroni [sic] in outline was originally drawn by himself from the originals and may serve as a book of reminiscences of the above mentioned city. All the prints found without this seal are falsified. Via di Capo le Case No. 92" with 2 impressed seals. Covers and spine of book stained, scratched and with tears and losses, corners bumped, leather cracking on spine; pages and plates all with foxing and staining, large stains on lower left of pages and along spine beginning with plate 70, warping and waviness to pages. Book 11 1/4" x 15 1/4" x 1 3/8".
