The work is framed but the frame is old and has friction so it should be changed. Antonio Aldama Tejada was born in the Alava town of Llodio in 1934. From a very young age he combined his professional life with the art of painting. He watched and analysed everything he saw. . He visited museums and exhibitions attentively. Forty years ago Bilbao was, together with Barcelona and Madrid, the three most important places from the point of view of the art market. Antonio Aldama is part of this movement. Since he was young he participated in numerous fast painting competitions. He went on to collect numerous awards. First and foremost, he is a landscape painter. Rural and urban landscape, if we consider as such the panoramic views of rural towns and their streets. As a painter from nature, he travelled around and chose the part he considered to be most interesting or more emotional. He painted what he saw, without changing the reality he contemplated. Basque Country, Salamanca, Segovia, Cantabria, Pyrenees, Extremadura are some places from which he has extracted most of his landscape work. The Ria de Bilbao and the marine subject matters are an important and rich category in his general works. Note: The work will not be sent to Taiwan because it contains wood.
