The work is archived by the official curator of the artist with photo and statement signed by herself. The two commoner young women are probably the most beautiful pastel drawing by Mancini. The chiaroscuro and such direct technique typical of the artist are exceptionally expressed in this piece. The expressiveness of subjects, not always depicted as joyful by Mancini, here is persuasive and the gaze of both girls is magnetic and irresistible.
