BIOGRAPHY:
Antonio Pedone was an Argentine painter, a disciple of Emilio Caraffa and Emiliano Gomez Clara. He studied at the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts and received a scholarship to improve painting during the period from 1923 to 1926, which allowed him to travel to San Gimignano together with Hector Valazza, Francisco Vidal and Jose Malanca. His paintings are mostly landscapes with a treatment related to pointillism. He works as a teacher at the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts in 1931 - 1951 where he has Ernesto Soneira as a student, he maintained a close relationship of friendship with the painters of his time, Egidio Cerrito, Carlos Alonso, Giovanni Bressanini, Ricardo Pedroni, Fernando Fader, among others, he also teaches at the School of Arts of the National University of Cordoba, and he was the director of the Emilio Caraffa Provincial Museum of Fine Arts from 1930 to 1946. Among his most important achievements is the Second Prize "Silver Medal" at the International Exhibition of Paris from 1937.
