Apollo 1 Crew-Signed Photograph

Extremely scarce crew-signed NASA litho of the "Prime Crew for NASA's First Manned Apollo Flight"

Extremely scarce official color 10 x 8 NASA lithograph of the Apollo 1 prime crew posing in their blue flight suits with a model of the ill-fated Block I Command Module, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, "To Sean, Best Wishes, Roger Chaffee," "Ed White," and "Gus Grissom.” Annotated on the reverse in blue ink in another hand, "From: Uncle Gary." In very fine condition.

This scarce signed portrait (with a virtually nonexistent Chaffee inscription) captures the Apollo 1 prime crew—Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee—whose tragic loss during a pre-launch test on January 27, 1967, profoundly reshaped NASA’s safety protocols and spacecraft design. Crew-signed NASA lithos of all three astronauts together are highly sought after, representing a poignant and historic tribute to the pioneers who helped pave the way for the success of the Apollo program and the eventual landing on the moon.
