Apollo CSM 'Remove Before Flight' Streamer

Fluorescent red plastic North American Rockwell streamer used on an Apollo Command/Service Module, 3 x 12, marked â€Å“Remove Before Flightâ€Â and numbered â€Å“DTT 576118,â€Â with upper portion annotated in felt tip, â€Å“D.â€Â Reverse is stamped: â€Å“Apollo CSM, If found, place in envelope and deposit in U.S. mail addressed to North American Rockwell Corp.â€Â In fine condition. These tags were made from plastic, as cloth tags would generate small particles that could contaminate the spacecraft. Original numbered examples are quite uncommon.
