Arched Victorian Revival Gilded Mirror

An arched wall mirror featuring a wooden frame with a dark brown stained finish and metallic gold-toned accents. The frame is designed in a Victorian revival style, incorporating an ornate scrolled crest with acanthus-leaf motifs and a shaped, scalloped bottom edge. Centered at the top of the gilded inner molding are three incised rectangular motifs containing circular and cross shapes appearing as X O X. A small white rectangular adhesive label is affixed to the upper right quadrant of the mirror plate, featuring handwritten characters in purple ink reading $ 149 - MIRROR. The mirror plate exhibits heavy silvering loss and oxidation, appearing as dark, mottled, and cloudy patches throughout the glass.
