Archie Artist "Hot Dog Making A Big Hit" Unused Welch's Jelly Jar Glasses Illustration Original Art (Welch Foods/Archie Comics, c. 1971). This image of Hot Dog up-ending Reggie in pursuit of the food Jughead is keeping from a hungry Archie was created to wrap around a jar of Welch's Grape Jelly. These empty jelly jar's were then used for juice glasses by millions of Americans in the early 1970s. This unused image was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 7" x 4". Toning with dark discoloration and dust shadows; otherwise, in Very Good condition.
