Architects of Identity, EDHV - Stool - Oxidations Zig Zag

Oxidations stool, Architects of identity (EDHV) During the Dutch Design Week in 2012, Edhv presented the "Oxidations" project at Dutch Invertuals. Oxidations is a follow-up to a project of 'Grafisch Atelier Daglicht' for which they experimented with printing metals, salt solutions and acids on paper. This resulted in extensive research into the process and the effects of oxidation. They decided to figure out how to apply this to wood to change the appearance and actually let wood rust. For this we have designed a simple stool that we have made with screen printing with iron and brass, and printed it with acid. Then the stool begins to rust. The stools are 45 centimetres high and 34 centimetres wide, with a blue zigzag pattern.
