- Created shortly before outbreak of war, the Ardea was considered one of the jewels of Lancia production, due to all the innovations it brought; but success was penalised being born in wartime.
- The Ardea was produced until end of 1952, and the IV Series, presented in 1949, used an aluminium cylinder head, a 5-speed gearbox and a 903 cc 4-cylinder engine producing 30 hp.
- Registered in Bologna in February 1953.
- In current collection for over 20 years – perfect condition, being restored (it is believed) in the 1990s. Stopped for a long time.
- Regularly registered with Italian log book. Black number plates, RA 30xxx from 1957.
- Mille Miglia elegible.
- Difficult to find in this condition, with so few owners.
