Argenta, created by Wilhelm Kage, introduced at the Stockholm exhibition in 1930, was the most appreciated line of decorative stoneware.
Wilhelm Kage, who studied under Henri Matisse, was art director at Gustavsberg in 1917 - 1949. Awarded Paris Grand Prix in 1925, Kage best known for his contribution to functionalist style.
