Nico de Neef and Willy Vekeman (ed)
Argo Nr 7
(1968) St. Amandsberg: Argo, softcover, text in Dutch and Afrikaans
Notes
Includes poetry by South African authors Wopko Jensma and Wilma Stockenström.
Argo was a Belgian literary and artistic magazine published in Antwerp between 1968 and 1970.
Taking with him a copy of WURM number 1, DPM Botes, a Pretoria booklover and civil servant, travelled in 1966 to Belgium and met a range of experimental and avant-garde poets who excitedly wanted to exchange work with WURM participants. These interchanges are reflected in the examples of the European magazines being offered for auction.
