Nico de Neef (ed)
Argo dubbelnummer Nr 8 - 9
(1968) St. Amandsberg: Argo, softcover, text in Dutch and Afrikaans

Notes

Publication in collaboration with South African magazine, WURM.

Includes poetry by South African authors Wilhelm Knobel, P H Roodt, Wilma Stockenström and guest editing by Marié Blomerus and Phil du Plessis.

Argo was a Belgian literary and artistic magazine published in Antwerp between 1968 and 1970.

Taking with him a copy of WURM number 1, DPM Botes, a Pretoria booklover and civil servant, travelled in 1966 to Belgium and met a range of experimental and avant-garde poets who excitedly wanted to exchange work with WURM participants. These interchanges are reflected in the examples of the European magazines being offered for auction.
