De Koningh was a son of the painter Leendert de Koningh (1777-1849) and Jacoba Wouterina de Koningh (1782-1845) . He was given the first names Arie Ketting, but regularly used the middle name as part of his surname and signed with both 'A. K. de Koningh' and 'A. Ketting de Koningh'. He was taught by his father. He painted landscapes, portraits and animal scenes. Following in the footsteps of his father, he published a number of lithographs in 1839 under the title Six Faces in the Surroundings of Dordrecht. He participated in exhibitions of Living Masters in Amsterdam, Groningen, The Hague, Nijmegen and Rotterdam, among others. His work is included in the collections of the Amsterdam Museum and the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, among other locations. Condition: very good condition 21. 5 x 30. 5 cm light surface dirt, frame is in good condition. The work will be carefully packaged and shipped internationally by registered mail.
