i. Gemma Frisius (1508-1555). Arithmeticae practicae methodus facilis. Wittenberg: Georg Rhau, 1548, 1 leaf errata, [T&W G32; Hoogendoorn p.357 GemF04; VD16 G1114; USTC 613003], [bound with] Morel, Thierry. Enchiridion ad verborum copiam haud infrugiferum, denuo multo quaam antea auctius emaculatiusque. Cologne: Martin Gymnich, 1546, 2 works in one volume, 8vo, woodcut initials, illustrations and diagrams (some hand-coloured), contemporary blindstamped pigskin, (Balzhasar Urceolus of Glauchau and Caspar von Mosham/Moshaim, early inscriptions; bought from Philip J. Pirages, McMinnville, OR, 2002), [cf. VD16 M6320, M6321 (1541, 1547 Gymnich editions)], minor worming and staining, some leaves removed at beginning (possibly blanks or manuscript leaves), binding slightly rubbed and soiled

Cologne: Johann Bathen for the heirs of Arnold Birckmann, 1556, 8vo, woodcut initials and diagrams, modern boards, (bought from Mediolanum, Milan, 1998), [T&W N1; VD16 N13], browning, title repaired at head (with loss of old ownership inscription)
