Comprising: 9 dinner forks, 2 dinner spoons, 14 luncheon knives, 8 luncheon forks, 11 soup spoons, 12 latte spoons, 4 dessert spoons, 6 teaspoons, 12 coffee spoons, 2 salat sets.
In 1957, the “AJ” cutlery was designed as a part of Arne Jacobsen’s ensemble for the SAS Royal Hotel and was initially custom-made for the hotel restaurant. From 1957 until circa 1977 the cutlery was manufactured by A. Michelsen, subsequently by Georg Jensen. In Stanley Kubrick’s famous science fiction motion picture “2001: A Space Odyssey”, the “AJ” cutlery is used by the passengers of the space shuttle.
