Art Deco- 18 kt. Yellow gold - Ring about 0.70 ct. diamonds
Antique ring from the Art Deco / Art Nouveau period circa 1920-30 in 750 / 18 kt gold with silver or platinum-layer in the ring head The ring head has a very long-drawn boat shape. The eye-catchers are the total of large diamonds, which are arranged in a row and become large towards the middle. In the centre there is a diamond of 4 mm in diameter (=0. 25 ct) , followed on both sides by 2 diamonds of 3 mm in diameter (2 x 0. 10 ct) and 2 x 0. 05 ct. these diamonds are antique cut with flattened points - as was customary at the time. Colour H, clarity SI - mostly ery clear. On the sides in the middle there are a further three octagonal cut diamonds of 0. 15 ct in total (H/VS) and, in addition, there are 4 diamonds roses (=0. 05 ct H/SI) as sparkling accents in the outer area of the ring band. Diamonds weigh approx. 0. 70 - 0. 75 ct in total. Ring head dimensions 21. 5 mm, width approx. 13. 5 mm Weight: 4 g Marked with 750 Ring size 60 / 19. 1 mm - adjustable by us for 25 euros between sizes 56-62 The ring is very well preserved for its old age, even if is has a couple of signs of use typical of the time. There have probably been a couple of restoration and stabilisation procedures done by a goldsmith. So the ring band has probably been refurbished, as antique rings were mostly extremely delicate and, as a rule, extremely small sizes.
