Art Deco Sapphire Diamond Ring | 14K Gold Cocktail |
A glamorous Art Deco cocktail ring, set with a sapphire and diamonds, in 14Kt gold, circa 1920s-1940s.; The stunning setting has been expertly crafted out of 14K white gold and been prong set with a solitaire round cut Ceylon sapphire totaling, approximately, 1.41 carats. The closed-back gem is a wonderful cornflower blue hue, has strong saturation, medium tone, and superb clarity and brilliance. Complementing it are 56, closed-back, round old mine cut diamonds totaling, approximately, 1.04 carats together. The gems all have very good color (F-I) and clarity (VS-SI).; The ring is in excellent vintage good condition showing expected signs of wear. Mentioned for accuracy there is some minor discoloration to the interior of the band (shown in the pictures) which does not detract from the overall fineness of the ring. It weighs, approximately, 11.95 grams and is UK ring size P (US ring size 7 3/4). The face of the ring measures 1.08 inches (2.75 cm) tall by 0.67 inches (1.7 cm) wide. It is marked 585 for 14K gold (confirmed with testing).
