Condition Report:
Overall in very good condition. The alabaster presents with scattered surface scratches, minor abrasions and light scuffing throughout consistent with age and gentle use. The shade presents with fine hairline cracks throughout, stable and inherent to the making. The upper branches of the base present scattered chips and a few hairline cracks, some of which appear to have been sensitively stabilized at some point in the history of the piece. The upper branches of the shade with one more pronounced loss to the alabaster measuring approximately ½ in. wide, not visually distracting. The shade with a small surface accretion measuring approximately 1 x ¾ in., not visually distracting. The alabaster presents with light surface soiling and traces of calcification concentrated to the recessed areas of the design.
