Art Deco bedside tables (2)

A pair of Art Deco nightstands with black glass top typical of the time; they date back to the first half of the 20th century and were made of wood and veneered in briar, restored and finished with shellac. The bedside tables have a black glass top, embedded in a wooden base. The body begins with graceful open shelves which have a side-curved drawer on their side, with a bakelite and brass handle that facilitates opening. Below the open shelves, separated by a band, there are doors, also curved laterally, veneered with a beautiful briar design. The doors always open with a brass and yellow bakelite handle of the time. Inside there is a compartment divided into two compartments, suitable for storing objects. The sides are veneered. They rest on a beautiful square band whose visible part has a curved relief in the centre, which gives the nightstands a very elegant appearance. The nightstands are in excellent condition, the top and the doors have a craquelure that gives them an antique touch.
